My client is looking for an HGV Class 2 driver to join their business on a permanent basis. As HGV Class 2 Driver you will be expected to work:

  • Flexible hours including occasional weekends and nights.
  • Delivery and collection of goods to and from customers.
  • Liaising with customers and provide communication links between customers and staff.
  • Loading and unloading goods onto vehicles safely and accurately, ensuring that goods are secured and transited in a safe manner to/from the customer.
  • Compliance with Tachograph Legislation and Transport Working Time Regulations.
  • Maintaining all aspects of vehicle care including fuelling and cleaning, adhering to company policy and procedures relating to health and safety and security.

The successful HGV Class 2 Driver will:

  • Need to hold a clean, current HGV driving license, a digital tachograph card and have completed driver CPC.
  • You must have the ability to work early mornings, weekends and nights when needed.
  • Have exceptional people/communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure, have excellent attention to detail, have good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and London.
  • Candidates with driving licence category C+E are advantageous.

Working hours will be flexible depending on company needs but will normally be approximately 50-55 per week.

Basic working hours are 42.5 and anything over this is paid at the same rate.

Pay is 15-16/hr depending on experience.
