Reed HR are currently recruiting for a HR & Payroll Officer to join our client during a busy period of change.

The role:

I'm looking for a HR & Payroll Officer to join our clients team on a permanent basis.

I'm looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills. This position is suitable for a self-motivated individual who can work in a methodical manner and has worked across HR and Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • To give a high-quality service to support line managers and employees and provide backup to the HR Manager and admin team
  • Be first point of contact on employee relations, including managing absence and assisting with disciplinary matters, grievances and other employee matters
  • Provide advice on company benefits, policies and procedures
  • Ensure payroll information is input correctly 
  • Assisting the team with compliance and preemployment checks
  • Issue contracts of employment, contractual amendment letters and other correspondence
  • Work with the HR Managers to update policies/ documents as guided
  • Employee correspondence and responding to employee queries in a timely manner
  • Liaise with payroll provider and manager relationship 
  • Maintain personal files in a confidential manner
  • Work with the HR Manager and HR Officer to ensure that pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations
  • Process all timesheets and amendments to contract on a monthly basis
  • Administer third party deductions and other deductions from earnings
  • Assist in the processing of the monthly PAYE payroll
  • Pensions administration & queries
  • Deal with payroll queries

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday Must work a Friday if 4 days a week
