Job Title: Buyer/Supplier Manager

Location: Lancashire, UK
Contract: 8 months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Salary: £260/day

Job Purpose:
As a Buyer/Supplier Manager you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategic approach to ICT Supplier Management. Your primary focus will be on delivering innovative, cost-effective, and quality products/services. You'll serve as a key liaison for senior managers and commissioners, supporting the Procurement team in planning and executing IT sourcing and supplier management activities to ensure timely milestones achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing activities for ICT requirements, ensuring compliant routes to market and managing end-to-end sourcing processes for tactical needs.
  • Develop effective routes to market for strategic requirements.
  • Support the development of IT service management plans, ensuring all sourcing and contract variation activities are identified, planned, and executed within required timelines.
  • Ensure governance arrangements for all supplier management activities comply with internal policies and regulations.
  • Conduct supplier relationship and quality management activities, ensuring contract compliance and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Identify, prioritise, and mitigate risks with strategic ICT suppliers on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on supplier issues to service and project managers.
  • Undertake any other duties necessary to achieve post objectives.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and professional experience in sourcing and managing ICT suppliers, preferably at CIPS level 4 qualification or working towards it.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience within a similar role, preferably within the public sector
