Import/Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Oldham
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Currently working with a fantastic Client based in Oldham, Chadderton, one of the U.K’s largest suppliers of lighting, with products on the shelves of many major DIY chains, Department Stores and supermarkets.
Working hours are - Monday - Friday 08:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
As Import/Purchase Ledger Clerk you will work as part of a fast-paced team. You will monitor, record, and provide accurate financial information relating to cash management and imports. Your key responsibilities will be: -
- Liaising with overseas suppliers, forwarders, and the bank
- Making daily payments to factories based in China.
- Posting daily cashbook journals
- Matching goods in notes, freight, and inspection invoices to supplier invoices
- Reconciling and posting monthly deferment statements
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Raising debit notes against delivery statements
- Sending out shipping documents to forwarders with commodity codes for customs clearance
- Running 'stock received not invoiced’ report, investigating and resolving any queries.
- Keeping supplier accounts tidy/internal programme reconciliation
- Dealing with a large volume of e-mails
- Internal Correspondence/Communication
Profile:
The Ideal Candidate will have a diverse set of skills, you will need:
- Import experience is essential!
- Relevant experience for all aspects of the role, Import and Purchase Ledger
- Have a "can do" attitude.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Be able to work to constantly changing deadlines.
- Business Central knowledge, not desirable (but desirable)
