Industrial Electrician - Ilkeston

• Salary Range: £44k - £50k per year + paid overtime
• Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
• Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift (Monday to Friday)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Industrial Electrician to join our team, working on the day shift at our industrial production site. The role involves ensuring all maintenance, installation and repair work is carried out to high standards within health, safety, and environmental guidelines, and maintaining equipment to keep processes operational and efficient.

Day to Day duties of the role:

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repair work in compliance with statutory guidelines.
• Maintain and install equipment to manufacturer’s and site standards to ensure cost-effective maintenance and reduced downtime.
• Perform repairs and adjustments during routine and Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Identify the root cause of plant or equipment failure and address issues promptly.
• Work flexibly across the site in cooperation with the maintenance team.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and communicate these to the maintenance manager.
• Plan workload, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changes to ensure success in a varied role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong electrical experience within an industrial setting.
• Relevant qualifications in the electrical field, such as HNC/HND or equivalent vocational qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience with motors, heavy manufacturing, and automation equipment.
• Proven ability in a similar Industrial Electrician role, ideally within an industrial production environment.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical installations and maintenance, electro-mechanical systems, and PLC-operated industrial equipment (Siemens controls preferred).
• Full driving licence is useful.
