This is an opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join a well-known Nottingham based retailer for a 12 month maternity cover contract. This will be on a hybrid basis, with three days working from their offices in Nottingham and two days working from home.

This is a diverse business with multiple brands so you will be responsible for sharing news about everything they do across all levels of the organisation. This job is perfect for an experienced content/internal communications professional who can produce communications to inform and excite colleagues.

You will share news on strategic changes through to people-orientated stories and the operational day-to-day.

Role Overview

This exciting role offers lots of variety and you'll have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across different business functions, providing communications support and guidance, developing plans and delivering engaging communications. You’ll be responsible for the management of internal communication channels including the intranet. Plus, there are opportunities to get hands on, with in-person and virtual events.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be able to deliver the detail effectively, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

About You

This opportunity would suit candidates with previous internal communications/employee engagement experience coupled with strong copywriting and editing skills. You will be someone who enjoys writing and storytelling, and comes up with creative ways of doing things.

It is important that you are able to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage expectations of stakeholders, delivering important messages on time in a way that all colleagues can understand.

You will be great with people and a strong influencer because having good relationships across the business including with senior management is the key to getting the most out of this role.

You will have a commercial and continuous improvement mindset, with an ability to keep a keen eye on metrics and effectiveness. You will also have experience of communications planning and channel management.
