IT Engineer

I am working closely with one of my clients who are now seeking an IT Network Engineer.

Responsibilities include:

• Accountable for resolution of IT issues by carrying out problem analysis
• Implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service as soon as possible
• Diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware incidents
• Install and configure new IT equipment
• Assist all users with any logged IT related incidents
• Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient
• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Provide support in the development of local and corporate IT projects
• Management of local subcontractors as and when required
• Support the setting of an annual IT budget
• Monitor expenditure on an ongoing basis to ensure spend is within budget levels.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Strong IT skills and proficient in using Windows, and all Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Have strong communication skills, including verbal and written
• Be capable working efficiently and keeping to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident that you can carry out *most* aspects of IT including Hardware and Software
• Must have worked in IT for at least 3 years.
