KS1 Teaching Assistant - Preston (June Start)


Do you have a passion for education and a desire to support young children in their learning journey?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Preston! This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) starting in June 2024, with the potential to become permanent in the new academic year.
About the Role:

  • You'll work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons for Key Stage 1 students (ages 5-7).
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children who need extra help.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
  • You'll be a role model and source of encouragement for young learners.


What You'll Bring:

  • A Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and colleagues.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of working with children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
