Learning Support Assistant
Learning Support Assistant
Wigan
Required for a September 2024 start
A secondary school in Wigan is a flourishing 11-16 secondary school that is proud to provide an exceptional education for children. They are one of a very small number of state, comprehensive secondary schools in the North West to be awarded an Ofsted judgement of Outstanding (January 2023), and they are exceptionally proud of what this means for the pupils who attend our school and the staff who work here. As well as excellent GCSE results, that are well above the national average, pupils at the school receive a well-rounded curriculum and a wide range of opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom.
The High School is looking to appoint proactive and dynamic individuals who are passionate about the learning of pupils who have a special education need and/or disability. The school has seen significant investment in the school's Inclusive Classroom which offers both pastoral and academic provision. The Learning Support Assistant role will work directly with the SENDCo and deliver a programme that supports our SEND pupils.
The successful applicant must have knowledge or experience of working with children in a relevant context and a commitment to supporting all pupils to thrive in an educational setting, no matter what their learning needs.
