- Lead and deliver the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to the speciality services wards through a team approach across the base hospital site.
- Act as the lead for pharmacy service to the speciality service.
- Alongside identified counterpart provide clinical support.
- Interpret the needs of the speciality and negotiates a range of pharmacy services to meet them. Represent pharmacy to the speciality and ensures pharmacy and medicines management are taken account of in the speciality's development plans and day-to-day operation.
- Plan and implement developments to the pharmacy service to the speciality.
- Act as a senior clinical pharmacist in various specialties.
- Represent pharmacy in relevant specialist networks, and in joint work with our locality Primary Care Trusts and other bodies at local or regional level.
- Line manage Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Trainee Pharmacists and Undergraduate Pharmacists seconded to the speciality for experience.
- Take full part in clinical/dispensary rota and bank holidays duties.
- Deliver a high-quality specialist clinical pharmacy service, with a strong emphasis on support to develop leadership and mentoring skills to the next level.
