Logistics Coordinator
We have an exciting position as a permanent Logistics Coordinator in a large building supplies company. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 2am to 11am.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise drivers and other staff members in transport department, and via vehicle tracking and tachograph
- Ensure legal, safety, and company standard compliance for operations, including driver and vehicle compliance
- Source materials for jobs
- Develop procedures to ensure the cost effective, efficient, and safe running of the department
- Additional duties as required
Key attributes required for the role:
- Excellent communication skills, with great enthusiasm, and ability to motivate staff
- High level of concentration, organisation, and awareness to enable flexibility of operations
- High level of literacy and numeracy
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, etc
- The ideal canditate will have experience in fleet tracking, with knowledge of routes for London, Home Counties and Southeast of England, as well as knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and Working Time Directive
- Experience working with product databases
