Lower Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher

Our partner school in Salford is looking for a Lower Key Stage 2 teacher to cover a maternity leave position from September 2024. This role is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin their teaching career.

As a Lower Key Stage 2 teacher, you will be required to develop a warm and inclusive learning environment where you differentiate learning to ensure all pupils are making positive progress. The schools follows an enquiry approach where they begin each unit with a big question and develop pupils into critical thinkers. You will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the curriculum and previous experience with teaching mathematics through a mastery approach is beneficial.

The school places an emphasis on developing pupils into respectful and collaborative citizens through pupil voice and pupil council. The children are encouraged to make positive choices, knowing they are in a safe and supportive environment.

To be a success in this role, you will need to:

• Have QTS or QTLS status
• Have previous experience of managing behaviour and supporting children with SEN
• Have experience with Lower Key Stage 2 classes
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
