Materials Buyer

Immediately Required

Salary: £38000 per annum

Location: Exeter

DK recruitment are happy to be partnering with a prestigious house builder who are looking for an experienced buyer to sit within their commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Manager. The successful materials buyer will be responsible for sourcing and ordering materials and ensuring best value for money.

Day to day duties include:

  • Material scheduling for multiple developments
  • Quantity calculations and timely scheduling with manufacturers
  • Monitoring regional material levels to avoid shortages or over-ordering
  • Submission of material cost budgets and advising on losses
  • Close collaboration with Site and Contract Managers

Requirements:

  • Prior Buyer experience in construction.
  • Proficiency in Excel; COINS experience advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Full driving license required.
