Mechanical Fitter Position Overview

My client based in Leamington Spa are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to assist in the manufacturing, installation and servicing of fluid power systems. This role is mainly workshop based in Leamington Spa, with some occasional travel to customer sites on a rough 85/15 split.

Responsibilities include:

• Build fluid power systems from engineering drawings to include
• Building motor pump sets
• Building reservoirs, installation of bulkhead fittings and fitting tank accessories
• Mounting valves and pipe work or on manifolds
• Installing pipe work (hoses and compression type)
• Be trained in other activities (such as hydraulic fault finding)
• Undertake other tasks, within your capability, as directed by the Operations Manager
• Follow all company HSE and QA/QC Policy in line with any statutory requirements as
• directed
• Ensuring right First Time (RFT) completion of allocated tasks
• Undertake and complete all allocated tasks

Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements

• Clean, valid UK drivers' licence
• Good communication skills
• Advanced Modern Apprenticeship or City & Guilds
• Hydraulic Training (Preferably NFPC)
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Strong mechanical fitting skills

Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration

• £30,000- £34,000
• Full benefits to be discussed
