Midday Support Assistant
To Start as soon as possible - Midday Assistant to support pupils during their lunchtime with Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.
As a Midday Assistant you will join the team in supporting pupils with their individual needs ie; feeding, engaging, supervising with assisted play and providing a safe and happy lunch.
Monday to Friday, 11.30am - 1.30pm (Option for additional hours being offered as a Teaching Assistant once experience is gained)
Term time only, paid hourly with additional holiday pay.
This Midday Assistant role would be perfect for someone wanting to gain further experience within a school setting.
Midday Assistant Role
- Assist the students to ensure a safe and happy lunchtime with 1-1 support
- Supervising the students individual needs whilst eating at mealtimes.
- Being mindful of the students dietary requirements and ensure they are adhered to accordingly.
- Monitor the behaviour of students, discouraging any negative behaviour in a positive way and ensuring any incidents are reported as appropriate.
- Happy to assist with personal care as and when needed.
- Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
This post is subject to vetting including enhanced DBS and full compliance for working with children.
