Salary: NJC Grade 6 £25,119 to £26,421 depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full time
Contract Length: Permanent

Our Occupational Therapy Assistants need to be resilient, adaptable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to work efficientlyand accurately record your work using electronic systems. You'll need to be committed to learning about Occupational Therapy and how to implement it in practice. You'll enjoy working with people and optimising their wellbeing. There is a requirement to be able to travel across the county and work from various locations. The role will also involve complex physical interventions, including transporting, demonstrating and using occupational therapy related equipmentand manual handling procedures. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public. You will receive induction and training to enable you to undertake your role.

Qualifications and/or experience:

*A minimum of 3 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent qualification e.g.NVQ.
*Experience of working with people with disabilitiesor with elderly people, and an understanding of the effects of a disabling condition on a person.
*Some experience of working in a hospital, social care or similar formal care environment.
*Knowledge of the use of and the risk and safety factors associated with disability and equipment / adaptation provision.
*Valid, full drivinglicence.
