Client Details

Our client is a well-established organisation in the retail distribution industry, employing over 1,000 people across the UK. They are known for their high-quality products and dedication to customer satisfaction.

This Operations Team Leader - Nights position requires an individual with a strong focus on logistics to ensure effective and efficient operations. The role involves managing the flow of goods, overseeing the supply chain, and implementing strategic plans. The role is for 7 months fixed term contract and the shift pattern for the role is Thursday to Monday, starting from 1.30am, completing a 42 hours a week.

Description

The Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the following

  • Leading and managing a team to meet company objectives.
  • Ensuring all logistics operations are carried out efficiently.
  • Implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Tracking and reporting team performance.
  • Providing training and guidance to team members.
  • Addressing issues related to logistics and team performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Profile

A successful Operations Team Leader should have:

  • A background in retail and knowledge of logistics.
  • Proven experience in a similar team leader role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to strategise and implement operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of industry regulations.
  • ability to commit to the shift pattern - Thursday - Monday Night shift pattern, 1.30am start

Job Offer

  • Salary range between £27,000 and £29,000 per year (dependent on experience)
