Full Time (36.5 hours) - Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Job Purpose

To ensure effective talent management and succession processes are developed to manage the employee life cycle, that is, to attract, develop, engage, and retain our best talent. To manage the workstream and build career pathways and role profiles within SmartForce Talent thus developing the talent strategy to support our future talent needs, you will manage this to ensure our PDR processes are effective in supporting development and progression across the Force.

Knowledge & Experience

Hold a recognised HR/ OD qualification, membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Level 5 or equivalent relevant experience such as project or change management.

Current professional leadership/management knowledge and commitment to continuous professional development in line with the field of leadership, talent, performance and management development.

Previous experience supporting organisational development and landing organisational change.

Experience of collaboration and cross functional team working

Experience of collaborating with senior stakeholders

Experience of leading projects with a requirement to on occasion influence others

Analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

IT literate with knowledge of MS Office applications

Knowledge of professional and ethical standards in line with Force policies.

The ability to work using own initiative and manage/ prioritise workload in order to meet competing demands.

The ability to liaise with colleagues, stakeholders, providers and the College of Policing to deliver a professional service to all.
