Our client is a happy young adult in Dudley who enjoys close relationships with her care team, she has sensory impairments as a result of a brain injury and knowledge of Makaton is advantageous. Our client enjoys support to love independently in her own home, and likes to be out and about, bowling, swimming, attending discos and Zumba classes are a few of her favourites.

The role involves supporting the client at home and after college with personal care, therapy activities and ensuring that she has access to and is enjoying leisure activities.
Previous experience supporting adults or children with learning difficulties and/or brain injury would be preferred.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and it be possible for the client to add them to their car insurance to drive the clients vehicle.

Hours of work:

  • Approx 12 hours per week
  • Shifts are usually 2.00pm to 11.00am the following day, including a sleeping night.
  • Additional shifts of 10.00am – 7.00pm or 7.00pm – 10.00pm may be available during holidays and at      weekends.

Rates of Pay:

  • £13.00 per hour weekdays
  • £14.00 per hour Saturday
  • £15.00 per hour Sunday
  • £11.44 per hour sleep in shifts

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with The Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
