We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join a growing payroll team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be proficient with payroll software, proactive, highly numerate, and possess a keen eye for detail.Day to day of the role:
  • Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for organisations of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Set up pension schemes with various providers, including calculations and distribution of necessary data.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and build excellent professional relationships.
  • Perform reconciliations, manual calculations, and respond to client queries efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Essential experience in a payroll bureau or practice environment.
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on various payrolls from start to finish.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel for import/export functions, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with transferring data between payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of Bacs payment processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Organised, thorough, and diligent approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Trustworthy, demonstrating superb integrity and strong time management skills.
