Location: Harrogate

Salary: National Apprentice Wage (Upon completion of your apprenticeship, your salary will increase to £23,400 in line with the UK Real Living Wage. Your starting salary will also be reviewed every six months during your apprenticeship, which offers opportunity for small increases during this period)

Home to over 90 specialists, the company are experts in SEO, paid media, content marketing, social, outreach and digital PR. Delivering campaigns that perform, their client base includes the likes of Hammonds, 118 118 Money, Thorntons and Lords and Labradors.

The Role

Our client’s are looking to expand their HR resource with the addition of a People Apprentice, to support the Group as it continues its expansion.

The role also offers the opportunity to carry out a HR support apprenticeship, which will provide a fantastic foundation for a career in HR. If you would like a debt-free recognised qualification coupled with workplace training, then this is the role for you! You will study a level 3 HR Support apprenticeship qualification over 18 - 24 months providing a great opportunity to blend studies with practical experience.

Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will support HR administration across the Group, and be responsible for ensuring that the employee journey from onboarding to exit is smooth and consistent, as well as playing a key role in supporting the function.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the onboarding/ offboarding process is completed for all employees
  • Ensuring that all employee HR files are maintained and kept up-to-date, including the ongoing maintenance of the HRIS.
  • Helping to manage all the Company benefits and wellbeing programmes
  • Producing paperwork relating to changes of employee terms and conditions of employment.
  • Helping with the Induction process of employees.
  • Helping to support line managers, regarding policies and procedures, providing advice and support where necessary
  • Helping with Group-wide HR projects and initiatives
  • Assisting with the Group’s payroll
  • Responding to queries from employees; referencing policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Helping with the organisation and managing of L&D activities and initiatives.
  • Producing management reports as required
  • Taking a proactive approach to CPD, keeping up to date with changes in legislation and employment law
  • Helping to develop and implement policies and procedures, where necessary.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Being proactive in streamlining and improving existing HR systems and processes
  • Producing accurate content

Skills & Experience

  • Be proactive with a positive persona who also views change as a positive
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong administration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Be lively, enthusiastic and energetic
  • Demonstrate absolute discretion and sensitivity as you will be handling confidential information
  • A passion for Human Resources
  • Extremely organised; a true multi-tasker
  • A proactive and can-do attitude (need to be a real hands-on 'doer’)
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A passion for self-development and a willingness to learn
  • The ability to react quickly and efficiently to the changing needs of the business
  • The ability to work under pressure, be able to work on you own initiative, and manage multiple tasks whilst demonstrating a high degree of tenacity and resilience.
  • The ability to manage time effectively
  • Be a team player, with the willingness to pitch in to work together to achieve both individual and team goals.
  • Have some flexibility to work between the Group’s offices
