Planning Officer (Hybrid-Working)

Description:

This post is for the recruitment of a ''Planning Officer" based at Monkton Park, Wiltshire, SN15 1ER.

  • Pay Rate: £17.02/per hour via Umbrella
  • 37 hours per week
  • Initial 3-month contract with chance of extension
  • Hybrid Working

Role:

Monitoring and enforcement of prescribed regulatory areas, which will include but not limited to, recommendations regarding infringement, resolution advice, event based activities.

Provision of services of a technical, vocational or specialist operational nature to internal and external customers. To provide legal / regulatory /statutory monitoring and enforcement support within a specific work area.

Skills Required:

  • Some relevant professional experience post qualification in a similar work environment.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant policy, systems, work practices, professional guidelines, legislation in the area of specialism.
  • Excellent ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
  • Good knowledge of other areas of the authority relevant to the service. Knowledge of wider sector / external influences.
  • Experience of representing the work area externally

Requirement:

Recognised planning qualification (degree level) and eligible for membership of Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) Or Recognised conservation qualification (degree level) and eligible for Membership of Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) or an equivalent and recognised organisation.
