Position: Plant Fitter (Workshop)

Location: Swindon, Gloucestershire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (OTE)

Monday – Friday

Are you a skilled and experienced Plant Fitters looking for a new opportunity to showcase your expertise? We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our client’s team as a Plant Fitter.

The Position:

  • Conducting regular maintenance and servicing of plant machinery (diggers, dumpers, excavators) , ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
  • Carrying out inspections and scheduled checks to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance schedules efficiently.
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical plant equipment.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or a related role in.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, and heavy machinery.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • A relevant technical qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
