Skills and Experience Required: I am seeking Solicitors with 2+ years PQE, but also welcome applications from CILEX or Senior Paralegals with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Essential requirements include Police Station Representative Accreditation, a clean driving license, and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Thorough knowledge of criminal law, including PACE
- Experience advising at Police Stations
- Proficiency in case preparation and court advocacy
- Ability to assess the need for experts, agents, or counsel
- Understanding of Legal Aid Agency Franchise requirements Experience in Police misconduct matters is a plus!
- Minimum of 25 days' annual leave (increasing with service) plus Christmas-New Year office closure
- Monthly early finish Fridays
- Two days annually for charitable work
- Participation in sports teams, hobby clubs, and social events
- Access to Employee Assistance Programme and trained Mental Health First Aiders
- Annual promotions process open to all staff
