Principal Hydrologist

My Client, a specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Hydrology, Ecology and Environmental Management, is searching for a Principal Hydrologist to join a supportive team in Perth.

Candidates are required to have vast technical experience spanning hydrology, river restoration, EIA and peat restoration and have achieved or are close to achieving chartered status. Candidates are also required to have experience managing and mentoring team members.

This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to join and manage a friendly team in Perth to complete varied Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk, EIA and Peat Restoration Projects for Residential, Commercial and Renewable Energy Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities, Energy Companies and Water Companies.

You will be expected to complete technical work including;

-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.

-Drainage Impact Assessments.

-Environmental Chapters for EIAs including Hydrology and Hydrogeology.

-EIA coordination.

-Hydrological Assessments.

-Surface Water Management Plans and Catchment Management Plans.

-Drainage Modelling using Infodrainage.

-Water Quality Assessments.

-Pollution Prevention Plans.

-Peat Assessments and Peat Surveys for Windfarms.

-Peat Management Plans.

-Water Supply Risk Assessments

-GWDTE Assessments.

-Watercourse Crossing Assessments.

-Team management and mentoring.
