An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Procurement team for a Procurement Officer based at One Stratford Place.

The Role

As a Procurement Officer, you will support a wide range of business functions by delivering high-quality tendering tools, providing stakeholder contract and commercial support, managing suppliers, and identifying opportunities for improved contracts and efficiencies. You will play a crucial role in pre-procurement governance and approvals, support sourcing activities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on procurement procedures and processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Department’s reporting and compliance requirements. You will work closely with the Deputy Head of Procurement to ensure that all business intelligence is captured and incorporated into our databases and Procurement Dashboard. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving innovation and improvement in our e-tender and e-purchasing systems.

Additionally, you will assist the Deputy Head of Procurement with spend analysis, sourcing opportunities, Supplier Relationship Management tracking, and the drafting of templates and evaluation guidance. You will be responsible for managing departmental reporting through our Procurement Dashboard, Contract Database, and other trackers, ensuring compliance with UK laws and industry standards.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with A minimum of two years working in a strategic procurement team covering a wide variety of categories which include below sourcing the Regulated Thresholds

In addition to this, working knowledge of UK contract law, government procurement legislation and procurement regulations is required. Proficiency in IT systems and tools such as MS Office, procurement portals, and procure-to-pay systems.

You will be required to work at pace and have the ability to multitask and manage several concurrent/conflicting projects and deadlines. Be able to work collaboratively with a range of individuals and teams to drive ongoing value for Greater Anglia.
