Finance Assistant

We are seeking a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow and develop within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller / Purchase Ledger Supervisor and will be based at our head offices.

Day to day of the role:
  • Maintain purchase ledger records, posting monthly invoices ensuring accurate and timely processing in accordance with accounting deadlines.
  • Prepare and process information for accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Handle the processing of monthly expenses.
  • Manage intercompany balances and accounts to trial balance.
  • Produce intercompany balances.
  • Carry out roles and responsibilities in accordance with business procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and establish trusted relationships with colleagues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with Sage is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other software packages.
