Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Purchasing Team Leader, who will take the reins in managing the procurement operations across multiple brands. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient acquisition of products and services while optimising costs and fostering supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee and manage a team of Purchasing Associates, providing guidance, training, performance evaluations, and fostering professional development
- Develop and implement purchasing plans to enhance procurement operations, including cost-saving initiatives and strategic supplier management
- Evaluate and select suppliers, monitor performance, and cultivate strong relationships through regular reviews
- Continuously review and enhance purchasing processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Stay updated on regulations and industry standards to ensure procurement activities align with legal and ethical guidelines
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives
- Take an active role in developing the ERP system, gaining a comprehensive understanding of procurement functions
- Cultivate a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and enhances operational efficiency
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience OR 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to present information and address inquiries from managers, customers, and the public
- Competence in calculating various figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, and proportions
- Proficiency in solving practical problems and handling diverse situations with limited standardisation
- Experience utilising an ERP order processing system, with preference given to familiarity with SAP ByDesign
