Great food may not be the first thing you think about when it comes to rehabilitation, however the food you eat during rehab is an important part of recovery. Well-prepared and nutritious food helps restore the body and brain as people work through treatment.

Berry Recruitment is recruiting for an excellent chef to work Mondays to Wednesdays at a rehabilitation centre in Runcorn. The centre can have up to 30 residents at any one time. This role is temporary and ongoing for several months. Hours of work are 10am-6pm, with additional hours available on an adhoc basis.

Duties will include, but not be limited to

- Cooking meals as per the diierary requirements of clients

-Ensuring the food is prepared in a safe and hygienic way

- Ensuring the proper quality control systems in place are followed each day

The ideal candidate will have

- Experience of working alone and kitchen management experience

- A flexible approach to changing priorities and requests

- Excellent knowledge of Food Hygiene and safety standards

- An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or the ability to buy one for £48
