Removals HGV Driver
Our client, one of the UK’s leaders in Removals and Storage, is seeking an HGV Driver to join their busy team based in Bath. They have been moving households and business for over a century locally, nationally, and worldwide.
Previous experience within Removals is essential. The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills and be ready for a physically engaging role.
All roles are full-time and permanent, Monday - Friday. 40 hours a week plus overtime, any overtime over 50 hours is paid at time and a half.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGVs to transport household or commercial goods to dedicated locations.
- Ensure timely and efficient loading and unloading of items, utilising proper lifting, and handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working conditions.
- Engage courteously with customers, ensuring service expectations and timetables are met.
- Handle tasks that include packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading customer goods.
- Work involves local routes, some overnight stays within the UK and potential weekend work.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanour, representing the company positively to customers and the public at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth operations during moves or deliveries.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in removals.
- Individuals with a clean UK Driving licence.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- High fitness level and eligibility to work in the UK.
