About the Role:
As our Safeguarding Officer, you will be at the forefront of promoting the welfare and safety of our students. Seize this chance to influence the next generation's development within GSL's creative and collaborative teaching atmosphere, receiving valuable support along the way.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and overseeing safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and providing guidance on safeguarding issues.
- Collaborating with staff, parents, and external agencies to address concerns and provide support.
- Delivering training and awareness sessions to staff and students on safeguarding best practices.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in safeguarding, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
