The Opportunity:
Nigel Wright Group are supporting a tech business in their search for a Sales Development Rep. Our client provides a SaaS solution in the tourism sector and this role plays a pivotal part in the business growth plans. Bridging the gap between the sales and marketing teams, the SDR will working closely with the Chief Sales Officer and the Marketing/Product team. This is a remote working role with occasional meetings in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Role Profile:
  • Proactively promote the brand and products, resulting in new business opportunities.
  • Establish strong and trust-based relationships with customers.
  • Create acquisition and nurture campaigns to support growth activity, utilising the enablement tools to optimise productivity
  • Support the sales and CSM team with customer insights that will support both new customer acquisition, and existing client retention.
  • Support the design, development and updating of user training strategies, plans and materials.
  • Manage the CRM (SalesForce) and ensure customer data is kept up to date and relevant.
  • Working with various teams within the Company, as well as external partners, to ensure the success of the company’s customers.
  • Represent the company at customer meeting, events, trade shows, etc

Person Specification:
  • Experience in working within a similar role, combining Sales and Marketing activity to secure new business opportunities.
  • Experience of working with a complex SaaS platform.
  • Knowledge of the Travel, Hospitality, Attraction or Experience industries preferred but not specifically needed.
  • Experience in creating product material and sales collateral
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a team player, but with the ability to work independently and make proactive decisions.
  • Must be driven, self-motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively on several active projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to fit into a dynamic team environment.
