School Admission Appeals Presenters
School Admission Appeals Presenters
The salary for this position is £26.66 per hour.
We are recruiting new appeals presenters to support our busy School Admissions Team. The role of a presenter is diverse; it involves working closely with schools and the wider School Admissions team to prepare and present the local authority's case for admissions appeals for community and voluntary controlled schools.
Presenters will usually have some experience of working in an educational setting (perhaps within a local authority or school), and the role is ideally suited to Governors looking for a new challenge or those who have prior experience of presenting school admissions appeals.
Whilst an understanding of school admissions is desirable, presenters should have experience of working within a legislative environment as well as the ability to analyse and determine issues in relation to complex cases.
You must also have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure and to work on your own initiative to strict deadlines.
Job Details

While appeal presenters are considered self-employed, they will be paid through the council's payroll in line with IR35 provisions.
