Our Good school is currently looking to recruit a Caretaker on a temporary basis until the position is filled permanently.

The successful Caretaker will work school term times but will also be required for certain weeks during the school holidays in order to undertake various works when the school in closed.

The successful Caretaker will be available to start immediately and will have previous experience within a UK facilities, maintenance or caretaker position.

The Caretakers job details:

  • General caretaking duties, allowing entry to hirers, opening/closing building, porterage, setting up rooms, litter picking, minor repairs, cleaning etc
  • This a vacancy will be filled permanently
  • Candidate must have a current enhanced DBS including child disclosure, be flexible and preferably have worked in a school before but this is not essential
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize duties effectively
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
