Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse

Service Care Solutions are working with a private medical provider to fill a position for a Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse. This position is a full time permanent role working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high standard of care to their patients.

Key role and responsibilities for Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse

  • Responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Service including surgery, pre operative assessment and post-operative care.
  • Responsible for all care for patients including diagnostic tests and post-operative care.
  • Responsible for Admission and discharge of patients on theatre day
  • Administering drugs in accordance to the NMC guidelines
  • Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities including checking equipment is ready for use
  • Assisting with stock control ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily available

Minimum requirements for Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse

  • Experience within the private healthcare sector
  • Minimum of 1 years post registration experience in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Current NMC registration

  • Competitive salary of £32,800 - £40,500
  • £250 referral bonus
  • £150 signing on bonus
