Semi Senior Accountant

Do you want to progress within an established accountancy practice? We are actively seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join a reputable Greater London firm with over 40 years’ experience.

This is a growing team in a fast paced environment with progression opportunities.

This position is focused on working with the accounts production team for the timely and accurate completion of accounts and tax returns and ad hoc client queries related to their accounts and tax.

The role:

  • Help manage a portfolio of clients to provide accounting, tax and VAT services
  • Deliver excellent client service level agreements, always with a goal to gain a high client satisfaction score
  • Plan workload to reduce turnaround time for jobs and ensure clients billed promptly
  • Keep up-to-date with: technical updates, changes in accounting and tax regulations, the current (and proposed future state) of cloud accounting platforms, financial software, cloud based financial and business apps
  • Solid knowledge of all firm offerings and when clients may need these services
  • Generate referrals and identify opportunities to upsell extra services to existing clients
  • £35,000 per annum plus benefits

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience of working within an accountancy practice in the UK
  • Either newly qualified or working towards ACCA / ACA
  • Delivery of work to a high technical standard
  • Effective problem-solver; efficient in your work
  • Responsive and customer-service-oriented manner
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in accountancy regulations and technology
