Join Our Team as a SEN Teaching Assistant!
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We're looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing personalised support to students with diverse learning needs, empowering them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges.
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualised education plans and adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet student's diverse learning needs.
- Promote independence and self-confidence in students, encouraging them to develop their strengths and overcome challenges with resilience and determination.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs in a school or educational setting is required.
- Available for full-time work, in order to provide consistency for the children.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with diverse learning needs and supporting their holistic development.
- Knowledge of special educational needs strategies and interventions.
