The Role: As a SEN Teacher with a specialization in SEMH, you will play a pivotal role in our students' educational journey. Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, you will create and deliver engaging and tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Your primary focus will be on supporting children with challenging behaviors, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and respected.
  • Implement behavior management strategies effectively to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to facilitate their academic and personal growth.

Requirements as an SEN Teacher in Hayes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEMH and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for supporting students in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN and a commitment to inclusive education.
