SEN Class Teacher ASAP Start

Reed Education are proud to be working with SEN school based in the Sutton borough. Our client is a school supporting students with Complex needs, SLD,PMLD and challenging behaviour. Our SEN School are looking to expand their team and recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher for an ASAP start on a Long-Term basis, The right Teacher will need to have experience working with students with Complex needs, PMLD and SLD as well as requiring Behavioural and Trauma Support.

As our SEN Teacher, you'll be pivotal in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Complex needs. As a SEN Teacher you will be supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils teaching English, Maths and Science to small groups.

Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver inclusive lessons. Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning styles. Monitor student progress and provide support. Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have QTS/ PGCE
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Passion for work with children with SEN needs
  • Understand the complexities around SEND
  • Be able to liaise with both SENCO and parent/ guardians regarding pupil's progress or any concerns
  • Experience working within an SEN setting especially with Complex needs Strong behavioural management skills
  • Be passionate about teaching and working with children across the secondary sector.
