Class People are the leading independent education recruitment specialists within the South West, and we are working with a Secondary School within Gloucester who are looking to employ an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within the PE Department. Despite the barriers to education, all children should be able to access Physical Education and take part in whatever capacity they are able to.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, and other special educational needs.
  • Patient, compassionate, and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualification as Teaching Assistant, e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs and EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create engaging and accessible learning experiences.
