A client of ours, who operate in a unique and exciting sector are currently seeking a Senior Management Accountant with the ambition and motivation to move into a Financial Controller position within the next 6-12 months:

Role Overview:
The Senior Management Accountant will play a crucial role in the finance department, responsible for overseeing management accounts, optimizing processes, and providing strategic insights. Reporting to the Financial Director, this position offers clear progression opportunities within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed monthly management accounts with insightful analysis.
  • Supervise and lead a team responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting tasks.
  • Compile Board Meeting Packs and actively participate in meetings.
  • Manage payment authorization and cashflow forecasting.
  • Coordinate third-party project costs and ensure accurate accounting.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes.

Requirements:

  • Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Possess at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally within a similar-sized company.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, adaptable to various stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Sage 200 accounting software.
  • Previous experience in team management within a finance department.

Location:
The role is based in Iver, with occasional visits to our London office.

Working Hours:
Standard working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
