A leading international bank is looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join its UK operations initially on a 6-month full-time contract, with a view to going permanent. This is a key role leading the enhancement of the bank's overall Operational Risk Management Framework, as well as providing oversight on Prudential Risk matters. The successful candidate will report directly to the Deputy Chief Risk Officer.
Responsibilities:

  • Update the Operational Risk Management Policy and the Risk Registers
  • Report on Operational risk incidents and related MI
  • Support the Deputy CRO in preparing prudential risk, including Pillar III, ICAAP and ILAAP
  • Prepare regulatory reports for the PRA and the parent bank, in addition to oversight on capital and liquidity returns
  • Convene the Risk Management Committee of the Retail arm of the bank
  • Prepare and review the Risk Management Pack
  • Monitor and analyse Key Risk Indicators and report to the Deputy CRO and CRO
  • Lead non-financial risk within the bank



Experience Required:

  • Strong level of operational and prudential risk experience in a UK banking environment
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships at key levels
  • Good understanding of retail and wholesale banking products and services
  • Familiar with the FCA/PRA environment and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written
  • The ability to challenge and influence within Risk Appetite
