ACR has partnered with a market-leading business based in Clayton-le-MoorsAccrington, to recruit a Service Coordinator on a full-time and permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join a business with a low staff turnover rate and includes 25 days annual leave, free parking and excellent progression opportunities.

My client is a market-leading manufacturing business that prides itself on staff development through exceptional support and training. They have a welcoming working environment and clear career paths, which means the average time a member of staff stays with the business is especially high.

We are searching for a candidate with experience in a service-based administration role. Ideally in service coordination, scheduling, planning or helpdesk.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £28,000-£31,000 per annum
  • Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5 PM, early finish on a Friday. (Could accommodate a different working schedule, a 9 AM start for example)

What will be expected of you:

The main purpose of the Service Coordinators role is to be the liaison between customers and engineers, regarding reactive maintenance and service call-outs.

  • Deal with incoming service calls
  • Logging of jobs that are called/emailed into the helpdesk
  • Providing support to customers, over the phone
  • Check warranty information
  • Providing quotations to customers on spare parts and labour
  • Coordinate, plan and schedule calls into engineers diaries
  • Liaise with field-based engineers and subcontractors
  • Ad-hoc administration tasks to support the business as a whole


What we are looking for:

  • Ideally experience in a similar service coordination or helpdesk role, liaising with engineers
  • Experience within an organised administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised with high attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and develop, eagerness to get stuck in
  • Ability to use MS Packages such as Word & Outlook
