Home Based Mental Health Social Worker

A Local Authority based in the London region is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Mental Health services

Highlights

• This is a home based post where you will only have to do visits and attend the office for the initial induction and the occasional meeting
• The post will focus around Initial Mental Health Assessments and working with service users in the community
• The service is run and managed by the Local Authority but you will have the opportunity to work closely with the NHS
• Contracts are being offered on an ongoing basis offering a high degree of stability
• You will be joining a largely stable team which is managed by a supportive manager who is always available or supervision

This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates looking to take on a post which offers a high degree of flexibility around working pattern as you will be predominantly home based, only needing to attend that office for an initial short induction and the occasional meetings. The role focuses on supporting service users in the community that are affected by mental health issues and may require additional support.

The service benefits from a stable workforce and a manager who has been with the team or a substantial amount of time, ultimately reducing the risk of disruption to your workload. Further to this the manager is very supportive and encourages engagement at meeting and schedules regular supervision for the members of the team.

To be considered for this post you should have expedience of working within a mental health team. Due to the nature of the role you will also need to be fully vaccinated
