Construction Law Solicitor
  • Experience: At least 1 year of PQE in non-contentious, transactional construction law
  • Location: London
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience (salary expectations should be indicated)

We are seeking a Construction Law Solicitor with a focus on non-contentious, transactional work to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of PQE and specific experience in various aspects of construction law within the UK. This role involves supporting the lead partner and contributing to the development of the department.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction documents including JCT contracts, warranties, joint ventures, and development agreements.
  • Advise on forward funding agreements and transactions involving multiple parties such as property owners, constructors, and third parties including social housing and energy centres.
  • Provide legal support on property contracts and development agreements with a detailed understanding of their implications.
  • Assist the lead partner in managing the department’s workload and contribute to the strategic growth of the team.
  • Engage with clients to provide clear, concise, and commercially focused legal advice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of PQE in non-contentious, transactional construction law.
  • Specific experience with JCT contracts, warranties, joint ventures, developments, and forward funding agreements.
  • Detailed working understanding of development agreements.
  • Experience in both non-contentious and contentious construction law is acceptable, provided there is substantial non-contentious experience.
  • All experience must be within the UK construction law space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
