Role Overview: As a pivotal part of our Group IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, you'll play a crucial role in harmonizing our technology strategy with our broader business objectives. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around three core pillars:

  1. Solution Architecture Oversight: Ensuring all changes align with technical suitability, Group standards, policies, and principles.
  2. Guidance and Management: Providing architecture direction and management services for change planning and execution, focusing on strategic alignment and adherence to policies and standards.
  3. Design Governance: Establishing and upholding governance principles and standards to meet evolving business needs and Group policies.

Position: Enterprise Solution Architect In the midst of significant strategic transformations across our business units and global regions, we are seeking an Enterprise Solution Architect to lead the specification, management, and governance of architecture for key projects. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the consistent implementation of strategic solutions organization-wide.

Key Responsibilities: You'll be at the helm of architecture leadership, overseeing day-to-day activities, and managing resources across Business Architecture, Systems, and Technical domains. Key tasks include:

  • Coordination of architecture activities across delivery teams.
  • Development of comprehensive solution architecture documentation for effective communication.
  • Facilitation of solution option development and review for strategic alignment.
  • Timely reporting and escalation of architecture activities and risks.
  • Collaboration with program resources for delivery and governance of architecture deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications: We're seeking candidates with a blend of business acumen and technical expertise, including proficiency in:

  • Enterprise and Solution Architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Defining systems and technology solution architecture, particularly using Microsoft Azure and Salesforce technologies.
  • Enterprise-grade integration architecture and infrastructure.
  • Web/digital technologies and their business implications.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance, preferably in insurance broking, with knowledge of insurance systems.
  • Leadership in large-scale business-critical transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with London Insurance Market concepts
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments such as FCA, PRA, GDPR, and technology governance standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certification in Enterprise & Solution Architecture (e.g., BCS, TOGAF).
