Are you a driven, high calibre, talented, experienced, and ambitious Specification Sales Professional with experience and a proven track record in promoting Design Focused Commercial Interior Products to Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build / Fit-Out Companies, Procurement companies, Main Contractors, Specialist Subcontractors and End User clients within the Hospitality & Leisure sector?

If so, we are working with one of the most forward-thinking, progressive and disruptive market leading Manufacturers of highly sustainable and design driven Floor Coverings who are seeking a Hospitality Specification Manager to join their dynamic team to drive further growth and secure profitable business in Central London & further afield if necessary.

The Role

To proactively promote our client’s high quality, market-leading ranges of Floor Covering solutions on a project-by-project basis via Interior Designers, Architects (70% of the time including evening and daytime networking events), Design & Build / Fit-Out companies, Procurement Companies, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors and H&L End User clients by raising awareness, generating sales and hitting agreed sales team goals whilst working closely with other members of the team both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Raise our client’s profile in the Hospitality & Leisure sector, expanding, growing, developing, and nurturing the existing customer base through strong business development and relationship-building skills, devising, and executing strategic business development plans and sharing project information resulting in profitable sales and account growth.
  • Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills.
  • Generating new business through proactiveness in the marketplace.
  • Manage and develop accounts.
  • Be able to promote solutions on design capabilities over and above price.
  • Networking and entertaining clients and customers
  • Embracing the A&D Community in the region
  • Grow Sales within agreed target markets: Hospitality & Leisure
  • Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with colleagues with professionalism and integrity on projects which are interconnected across the business, supporting each other, and communicating proactively and effectively to ensure they are in the best position to win and secure business.
  • Be relaxed but professional when holding product forums, lunch and learns or CPD presentations.
  • Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in the measurement of progress and forward planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required - Essential

  • To be considered Candidates must be located within a reasonable commute to Central London, happy to work remotely as well as working from our client's incredible showroom space in Clerkenwell and have an excellent working knowledge of who’s who in the target sales channels and the inner ways and workings of how to successfully manage a H&L construction project sales cycle from inception through to completion.
  • To be considered Candidates must have at least 5-10 years’ experience promoting an interior design-led product or service offering along with an in-depth understanding of sustainability, design and what those entail.
  • To be considered Candidates must have a sound network of relationships, connections and understanding of the A&D, Fit Out / D&B / Main / Subcontractor companies that operate in the area, especially within the Hospitality & Leisure arena.
  • Experience of long-term project selling cycles
  • Evidence of stability and success in similar previous roles
  • Must have a growth mindset and be a business development-driven field sales professional
  • Strong Team player
  • Full driving license
  • Computer literate (to include Excel)
  • Entrepreneurial profile: High motivation, dynamism, and autonomy to develop your own business within the target sector, with methodology and constant focus.
  • A natural networker, at ease with building relationships at all levels, and identifying decision-makers and key stakeholders across the sales channels.
  • A driven sales professional who can grow the existing account base and is confident working on new and exciting design-led projects.
