Position: Speech Language Therapist
Location: Chelmsford, United Kingdom
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students with communication disorders, including speech, language, and social communication difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs, goals, and abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and beyond.
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students in need of speech language services.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on strategies for promoting communication development and supporting students with communication difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Speech Language Therapy (e.g., BSc/MSc in Speech Language Therapy).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up-to-date with best practices in speech language therapy.
