Location: Bridgewater, Somerset, Taunton, and Exeter
Salary: £40,000 + Fuel allowance 

An Independent Fostering Agency rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, are looking for knowledgeable Supervising Social Workers to join their team.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be looking after a manageable caseload of foster families. Working in partnership with other team members to provide a high-quality service for their foster families and the children/young people they look after.
You will be responsible for ensuring that children’s care and development needs are met within placements by undertaking necessary planning and intervention for both emergency and planned referrals.

Responsibilities of you as the Supervising Social Worker:

Support Foster Carers to evidence their competence against training standards.
Assess and monitor the suitability of Foster Carers.
Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews within required timescales.
Undertake support visits.
Ensure that the Foster Carers have an accurate and up to date Foster Care Agreement
Identify learning and development needs
Undertake initial visits and carer assessments
Attend meetings to support foster carers, children, and young people.

Requirements of you as the Supervising Social Worker:

Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree and current SWE registration
Experience of working within Fostering
Experience of partnership working with families and external agencies, preferably in a Safeguarding or Looked after Children’s Teams.
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
