Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for a Supported Housing Officer for one of our well respected clients in the Bradford area

  • The post holder is responsible for providing a support service to men who are fleeing or surviving domestic abuse by identifying their needs and agreeing a programme of support via floating support, telephone support or housing related support.
  • To ensure that the telephone helpline is staffed and to support any volunteers to staff the helpline to ensure that the service is accessible to service users.
  • To ensure service users receive an intensive housing management and housing support service at our accommodation units.
  • To support men into the accommodation units and to ensure that they get a high level of support in order for them to move on into more appropriate accommodation.
  • To ensure a housing related support service is delivered whilst working in conjunction with housing providers that we enter into working arrangements with.

Essenential:

Experience of working directly with vulnerable people, in a paid or voluntary capacity

Experience of supporting vulnerable clients and providing housing related support to them via a keyworking and support planning approach

Experience of providing an intensive housing management service and housing related support service to clients to enable them to maintain their tenancies

Experience of offering support and help to clients over the telephone
Experience of working on a helpline

Experience of working with men or women who present with domestic abuse issues

Experience of working with men

Enhanced DBS is required

A driver is required for this role
